Title:
THROWN IMPLEMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3197614
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a thrown implement which does not lose its speed during flying and safely go straight by attaching several wings on the slender shell plate or the cylindrical shell and also vertically attaching vertical wings against the longitudinal direction.
CONSTITUTION: When a shell 1 is a hollow cylinder, the wings 2 are formed as a unit with a certain angle and parallelly to the longitudinal direction of the shell 1. Vertical wings 3 are jointed at both ends of shell 1. When one holds it to be parallel to the ground in front of his body and throws it while giving the revolution toward T1, since the air flow A1 is faster at the upper side of shell 1 but the air flow A2 is slower at the lower side thereof and a pressure difference is brought between both sides, a lifting power L1 generates, and hence, the body continues to fly while floating upward. Moreover, since the wings 2 are fitted to the shell 1 at a certain angle, the wind pressure generated owing to flying on at the upper wing 2 of the shell 1 becomes larger than that at the lower wing 2 of the shell 1, and hence a force to continue the revolution is brought. As the vertical wings 3 are fitted, an excellent linear stability can be obtained.
