To provide a thrust ball bearing of which inner and outer bearing rings do not separate.
A plurality of balls 4 are installed between an outer bearing ring 2 and an inner bearing ring 3 which are of pressed thin plate. The outer bearing ring 2 is constituted of a first race 2a with which the balls 4 are in rolling contact and an outer peripheral cylindrical part 2b which is configured by bending formation of the periphery of the first race 2a. The inner bearing ring 3 is constituted of a second race 3a with which the balls 4 are in rolling contact, an inner circumferential cylindrical part 3b and an outer peripheral cylindrical part 3c which are configured by bending formation of the second race 3a at its inner and outer periphery respectively toward the outer bearing ring 2. At the tip of the outer peripheral cylindrical part 3c a bent part 3d facing the inside of the outer peripheral cylindrical part 2b of the outer bearing ring 2 is formed. The balls 4 are held between the inner circumferential cylindrical part 3b and the outer peripheral cylindrical part 3c of the inner bearing ring 3, and a grease or a solid lubricant is filled between the balls 4. At a plurality of positions of tip of the outer peripheral cylindrical part 2b of the outer bearing ring 2 a protruded portion 2c protruded is formed to cover the bent part 3d of the outer peripheral cylindrical part 3c of the inner bearing ring 3.
