To secure the projecting accuracy and strength of pawls of bearing rings while allowing easy assembly and hard disassembly of a cage on and from the bearing rings.
The cage 3 is molded while conically inclining an inner peripheral portion 3c of the cage 3 including the inner peripheral edge locked by pawls 4c, 5c of an inner ring 4 and an outer ring 5 and an outer peripheral portion 3b including the outer peripheral edge. It is combined with the inner ring 4 and the outer ring 5 having the pawls 4c, 5c. Heat treatment is given to the cage 4 combined with the inner and outer rings 4, 5. In this heat treatment process, the inner peripheral portion 3c and the outer peripheral portion of the cage, conically inclined and molded, are deformed into a non-inclined flat and annular shape so as to be locked by the pawls 4c, 5c of the inner ring 4 and the outer ring 5 with the inner and outer rings 4, 5 non-separative from the cage 3. This secures the projecting accuracy and strength of the pawls 4c, 5c while allowing easy assembly and hard disassembly of the cage 3 on and from the inner and outer rings 4, 5.
