Title:
THRUST BEARING STRUCTURE OF CAMSHAFT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH11257124
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To dispense with locating parts in the thrust direction and to improve positioning operability by installing a camshaft integrally attached with a sensing rotor in a peripheral part, and attaching a camshaft housing to pinch two surfaces in the axial direction of the sensing rotor to a cylinder head.

When a camshaft 1 is attached to a cylinder head 5, this camshaft 1 is mounted on a half shaft receiving aprt 22 being one with the cylinder head 5, and then a camshaft housing 22 is attached from the upside. At this time, a peripheral edge of a sensing rotor 13 is fitted in a recess 22a of this housing 22 and, while two surfaces 13a and 13a in the axial direction of the sensing rotor 13 are pinched by the recess 22a of the camshaft housing 22, whereby this housing is attached by a bolt 4, rotatably supporting the camshaft 1. Thus, a positional regulation is promoted by mutual contacts between these two surfaces 13a and 13a in the axial direction of the sensing rotor 13 and a wall part of the recess 22a, facilitating positioning for the camshaft 1.
