PURPOSE: To secure an effective working area of a thrust bearing thoroughly and thus to improve load resisting ability by a method wherein a rotary seat fixed on a thrust shaft and a bush are brought in spherical contact with each other, and the bush is brought in plane contact with a thrust metal surface.
CONSTITUTION: A positional adjustment is made with a spacer 10 so that a rotary seat 12 fixed on a thrust shaft 5 comes in contact with a bush 11 at a sphere 13 and a thrust metal 6 surface comes in plane contact with the bush 11, and the rotary seat 12 is fixed with a nut 9. When a deviation arises in out-of-perpendicular of a rotary shaft system and a support like an inclination between a center of the thrust shaft 5 and that of a radial shaft 3, the thrust metal 6 is brought in plane contact with the bush 11 as repeating a minute sliding of the bush 11 and the rotary seat 12 toward the sphere 13. There is eliminated a one-sided contact on the thrust metal 6 consequently, and thus the effective working area can be secured and a load resisting ability can also be improved.
