Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thrust force measuring apparatus capable of measuring the thrust force of a work roll with high accuracy, and a rolling mill having the apparatus.SOLUTION: A thrust force measuring apparatus 20 comprises: a thrust bearing 21 as an intermediate member fixed rotatably on the axial end face of a work roll 3; a load cell 22 for electrically converting a thrust force SP to be generated in the axial direction of the work roll 3; and a load cell pressing mechanism 23 for pressing the load cell 22 onto a thrust bearing 21 toward the axial end face 3a of the lower work roll 3.
