To provide a thrust magnetic bearing adapted to thoroughly and singly receive axial force generated in an electric motor, and especially, preferably utilized for a spindle motor provided to a small disk drive device.
This thrust magnetic bearing includes: a first bearing constructional member composed of at least one permanent magnet and at least two magnetic flux guiding members allocated to the permanent magnet and arranged in a radial direction and a perpendicular direction with respect to a rotating shaft while being arranged at the opposed ends of the permanent magnet; and a second bearing constructional member composed of two magnetic flux guiding members 32, 132 arranged in the radial direction and perpendicular direction with respect to the rotating shaft while being axially arranged at intervals. The magnetic flux guiding members 32, 132 belonging to the second bearing constructional member is radially directly opposed to the magnetic flux guiding member with a gap 34 while being allotted to the magnetic flux guiding members 28, 128 belonging to the first bearing constructional member.
