The thrust needle bearing 16B is subjected to a treatment so that the surface hardness of its race becomes HRC 60-66 (preferably the difference in the surface hardness between the race and rollers is within HRC 3), so that a premature wear can be suppressed even through service under a severe lubricating condition, and a long lifetime can be established.
