To provide a thrust sliding bearing utilizing lubricant such as grease laid between sliding surfaces for a long time for receiving a thrust load and securing as smooth steering operation as that of a rolling bearing when incorporated in a strut type suspension.

The thrust sliding bearing 1 comprises an upper case 3 having an annular face 2 and formed as a first bearing body of polyacetal, an annular lower case 5 superimposed on the upper case 3 to be rotatable around an axis O of the upper case 3 in a R direction, having an annular face 4 facing the annular face 2 of the upper face 3 and formed as a second bearing body of polyacetal, and an annular thrust sliding bearing piece 6 laid between both annular faces 2, 4.
