PURPOSE: To improve the thunderbolt resistance of an aerial ground wire which is used for an aerial feed line to prevent the attack of a thunderbolt to power line, and avoid element wire breakage and damage to the mainbody when attacked by a thunderbolt.

CONSTITUTION: A-zinc-taped wound layer 5 is provide, around an aerial ground wire mainbody 4 which is formed by stranding plural aluminum coated steel wires 1 into a segmental shape. A layer 7 which is braided with fine wires made of high-melting-point metal such as molybdenum is provided along its outer periphery.
