PURPOSE: To greatly improve corrosion resistance in the vicinity of a draft position of an anode electrode by covering the vicinity of draft part with metal, etc., being more excellent in the passivation in an electrolytic bath than that of pure Ti, when a pure Ti anode electrode is immersed in the electrolytic bath.
CONSTITUTION: Electrolytic MnO2 is produced by using the Ti anode electrode 1 being more inferior in the passsivation than that of the pure Ti anode electrode or pure Ti. At this time, a coating material 2 consisting of metal (Ta, etc.), alloy (0.8Ti-0.3Ni-Mo alloy, etc.), ceramic (TiN, etc.) or an insulating material ('Teflon(R)', etc.) which is more superior than pure Ti in the passivation in the electrolytic bath, is formed at a splash zone of the anode electrode 1. Thus the corrosion resistance of the anode electrode 1 at the splash zone is remarkably improved.
