The ticket gate comprises a reading means for reading ticket checking information necessary for ticket checking from a ticket medium put into a slot, a communication means for performing radio communication with the ticket medium capable of performing radio communication through an antenna part for performing radio communication and reading ticket checking information from the ticket medium in this radio communication, a ticket checking means for performing ticket checking based on the ticket checking information read by the reading means or the communication means, a detection means for detecting an identification tag of belongings of a special user who needs a special ticket checking operation in a ticket checking passage way before the reading means and the communication means, and a signal output means for outputting a control signal to the effect that a special user uses the ticket gate to a monitoring panel for an official in charge based on the detection of the identification tag by the detection means.
