To provide a ticket issuing apparatus which can improve the accuracy of a magnetic writing pitch.
The ticket issuing apparatus is provided with a magnetic recording means 21 which performs magnetic recording on a ticket paper, a conveying roller for magnetic recording 22 which conveys the ticket paper subjected to the magnetic recording by the magnetic recording means 21, a printing means 42 which performs printing on the ticket paper, a conveying roller for printing 41 which conveys the ticket paper subjected to the printing by the printing means 42, stepping motor which drives the conveying roller for magnetic recording 22 and the conveying roller for printing 41, and an encoder 31 which detects the quantity of rotation of the conveying roller for magnetic recording 22. The printing means 42 sets a timing of printing on the ticket paper based on excitation pulse of the stepping motor. The magnetic recording means 21 sets a timing of magnetic recording on the ticket paper based on the quantity of rotation of the conveying roller for magnetic recording 22 detected by the encoder 31. Due to this, magnetic data can be recorded on the ticket paper at a uniform writing pitch.
