To provide a tide embankment causing no damage on the landscape of an installation site in a normal time and capable of preventing seawater and rainwater from flowing in at the time of flood or the like without human labor and power.
A float type tide embankment is made of a transparent resin plate, and the bottom section and both end sections in the longitudinal direction of the resin plate are fitted and retained in a holding groove of a foundation frame body. A plurality of the resin plates are arranged laterally in a row, and an underground pit is formed under the ground level in a space opposite to the end section of the resin plate. A door body having a float member in its inside is installed in the underground pit to cause the door body to float by the buoyancy of water.
