Abstract:
To provide a tie-rod mounting structure capable of shortening the span between right and left ball joints installed at inner ends of tie rods, enhancing steering responsiveness and maneuvering stability, and facilitating mounting work.
The ball joints 6 installed at the inner ends of the tie-rods 5 have ball housings 6a and balls 6b. The ball housings 6a have bodies 6d and mounting pieces 6c, wherein the mounting pieces 6c have bolt inserting holes. In fastening the ball joints 6 to a mounting bracket 7, the pieces 6c are overlapped one over the other and a bolt 22 penetrating the bolt holes in the pieces 6c in the overlapped state is screw-engaged with a mounting boss 7b of the bracket 7.
