PURPOSE: To repeatedly use a seat belt and to easily utilize it for except the collision of a vehicle by, after a spring member is released from holding for lengthening it, and the seat belt is drawn in to prevent its reverse in the case of the quick decelaration of a vehicle, compressing and holding the lengthened spring member again for resetting it.
CONSTITUTION: A spring member 56 being a power source for drawing in a seat belt having a buckle 514 is kept in a compressed state by a mass body 52 and a holder 53. In the case of the quick deceleration of a vehicle, the holding of the spring member 56 is released by the mass body 52. After the lengthening of the spring member 56, the redrawing out of the seat belt caused by crewman's load is prevented by a reverse movement preventing rod 512 and a locking claw 513. In addition, the lengthened spring member 56 is compressed and held by a resetting mechanism 540 again. Namely, a resetting lever 545 is rotated upward to roll a resetting wire 544, and the mass body 52 is thereby moved against the spring member 56, and the spring member is compressed.
