PURPOSE: To make the total of the horizontal widths of tile support plates equal to the horizontal width of the wall surface of a building by making the interval among the tile support plates adjustable to suit the condition of the wall surface.

CONSTITUTION: Tile holding parts 25 for holding the upper edges of tiles are formed by punching in the surfaces of strips 21 of plates, and a number of tile support plates are fixed to the support plate bearing members 31 of a building while being horizontally connected together via connecting parts 27, 29 at both right and left edges in such a way that the intervals among the tile support plates are freely adjustable. Locking grooves 9 in the backs of the tiles 7 are fitted over tile locking projections 23, 23... that project from the surfaces of the tile support plates, and the tiles 7 are pressed at their upper edges by the tile holding plates 25, 25... so as to attach the numerous tiles 7, 7... to the surfaces of the tile support plates. With the first fixing edge 27b of one connecting part 27 overlapping the second fixing edge 28b of the other adjacent connecting part 29, each tile support plate is fixed to the bearing member 31 at both of the fixing edges using fixing means 37.
