Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide stable search operation at the time of performing the search operation at high speed.
SOLUTION: A first tilt control circuit 52 executes ordinary tilt servo operation based on a tilt sensor 26. A second tilt control circuit 94 executes tilt control of an optical disk 12 to be recorded or reproduced based on the characteristic of position in the radial direction versus tilting displacement amount. Both tilt control circuits 52, 94 are used by changing them over by means of a switch 48. The first tilt control circuit 52 is used at the time of recording and reproduction and the second tilt control circuit 94 is used at the time of searching.
