To solve the problems wherein many accidents that a display device collides against a tunnel and an overpass and is broken because a truck provided with the display device runs while the display device is not contracted occur incessantly, damage of the display device is heavy because the display device using LEDs is mostly used recently, and the display device drops from a load-carrying platform of the truck when the display device collides against the tunnel and a bridge girder while the truck runs, thereby causing heavy damage to an ordinary automobile.

This tiltable display device is composed of a lower side display part, an upper side display part, a connection part for connecting the upper side display part to rise and fall down freely, a balance weight for giving moment in the reverse direction to the direction in which the upper side display part falls down, a pulling-up hook for pulling up the upper side display part from its fell-down condition into its erection condition, a tensile member connected with the pulling-up hook, a tensile member fixing part for keeping the upper side display part in its erection condition and fixing the tensile member to leave or disengage by the impact applied on the upper side display part, and a buffer part for lessening the impact by which the upper side display part falls down.
