Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tilting pad thrust bearing capable of reducing a quantity of supplied oil, and a rotary machine including the tilting pad thrust bearing.SOLUTION: A tilting pad thrust bearing includes: a plurality of pads 6 arranged on an outer circumference of a rotary shaft so as to face a thrust collar and provided to be able to swing; a plurality of oil fillers 10 provided among the pads 6; an outlet guide groove 12 formed to extend circumferentially near inner peripheral edges of slide surfaces of the pads 6; and an inlet guide groove 13 formed in front edges of the slide surfaces of the pads 6 so as to be located radially inward of the oil fillers 10 independently of the outlet guide groove 12. The outlet guide groove 12 is open to the slide surfaces and rear end surfaces of the pads 6. The inlet guide groove 13 is open to front end surfaces and the slide surfaces of the pads 6.
