PURPOSE: To tilt or raise a leader with lesser amount of power by a method in which the basal end of the leader is pivotally supported on a pile driver body, the basal end of a mast is fixed to the tip of the leader, and the tip of the mast is connected with a rope sent out of a winch for tilting or raising the leader of the pile driver body.

CONSTITUTION: A leader 7 is pivotally supported on the tip of a pile driver body 1 in a vertically rocking manner, and the basal end of a mast 10 is fixed to the tip of the leader 7. A winch 101 for tilting or raising the leader is provided to the pile driver body 1, and a rope sent out of the winch 101 is fixed to the tip of the mast 10 through A-frame 2 and A-frame hanger 3 of the pile driver body 1. The leader can thus be tilted or raised with lesser amounts of power, and also interference with the other rope can be prevented.
