To provide a time card and time recorder which uses the time card adapted to allow an employee to easily change his/her current time card into a special setting card without performing a special operation, requires no additional special setting card, and allows card renewal and other processing without bothering an administrator.

In a time card 1 for stamping and printing employee's arrival and leaving time thereon, a predetermined part 3 of the time card 1 is formed so as to be cut off, and a time recorder recognizes the time card 1 as the special setting card 1' upon detecting that the predetermined part 3 of the time card 1 is cut off.
