Abstract:
PURPOSE:To perform time display of the run length of a tape corresponding to the change-over of different run speeds of several tapes by generating pulse signals whose number corresponds to the run length of the tape and then by selectively changing signals corresponding to the tape run speed. CONSTITUTION:The rotation of roller 2 turning corresponding to the run of tape 1 is detected by detector 3 to output a detection pulse signal, which is adequately divided and supplied to high-speed count register 7 and low-speed count register 8 and also to direction detection circuit 9, where it is converted into a direction detection signal before being supplied to an adder/subtracter circuit. Signals obtained by adding by registers 7 and 8 are supplied to gate circuit 11, where either one of signals from registers 7 and 8 is passed corresponding to the operation switch 12 interlocking with a tape-run-speed change-over switch, and display converter circuit 13 converts it into a time display signal, so that time display unit 14 will display the time equivalent to the tape run length.
