To allow a user to get on a train of a desired route without frequently checking if his departure time has come.

A control part 11 of a portable terminal 1 accepts search conditions of desired ride route from the user and transmits a search request of the route including the search conditions to an information provision center 4. To respond this request, the information provision center 4 searches the desired route and the departure time from a route data base 5 and transmits a result to the portable terminal 1. At the control part 11 of the portable terminal 1, the search result obtained from the information provision center 4 is displayed on a screen display part 15 and an alarm is set according to a setting confirmation operation by the user. The alarm goes off at a sound processing part 13 at the alarm setting time to report the user that the departure time has come.
