Abstract:

To provide a time measuring device capable of outputting quantitatively comparable measured values and making an optimum phase adjustment based on the indicated value of an analog meter in the measurement of the plural time differences between two signals having different clock frequencies.

A variable delay section 21 delays an inputted clock signal 102 based on a specified quantity from a panel operation section 26. A time difference measurement section 22 measures the time difference between a data signal 101 and the clock signal 102, converts the time difference measured value into frequency data 103 including the measured value frequency, and stores the frequency data 103 in a frequency data storage memory 27. A period measurement section 23 measures the period measured value of the clock signal 102, converts it into period data 104, and stores the period data 104 in a period data storage memory 28. An arithmetic section 24 calculates a phase difference value 105 which is the ratio of the period measured value against the time difference measured value based on the frequency data 103 and the period data 104 and inputs the phase difference value 105 to a display section 25. The display section 25 displays the angle of the phase difference value 105.
