Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make it possible to eliminate error between the time for notifying athletes to start and the clock count of reference timer in a time measuring unit by synchronizing the start signal generated from a start signal generator with the clock of the reference timer.
CONSTITUTION: A start signal is delivered from a start pistol 1 through a buffer amplifier 4 in a start signal transmitter 3 and a transmission cable 6 to a time measuring unit 7 and then synchronized with a clock generated from a reference timer 8 thus producing a start signal. The start signal serves as a start signal of a counter 10 for counting the clocks delivered from the timer 8. Time elapsed after start is counted and delivered to a timer display 13 which displays the time elapsed after start of competition. At the same time, a synchronized start signal is delivered on a transmission cable 13 to the transmitter 3 where the start signal serves through a distribution circuit 5 as a driving signal for the pistol 1 and a speaker 2 which notify athletes of the start to with flash and sound.
