Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm the movement of timepiece module with a sensor by detecting magnetic field generated by a coil of a timepiece driven with a step motor with a current or a voltage due to counter electromotive force of a coil for detection and detecting termination.
SOLUTION: The step motor of an analog quartz timepiece consists of a rotor magnetized to N and S by turns and a yoke 3 of which exciting coil 2 excites the magnetic poles of N and S by turns and rotates at every step of change of exciting direction. For example, the promotion of hand for one second is the rotation of one step. Here, at the moment of exciting the yoke 3, a magnetic field generates in the exciting coil 2 and magnetic flux leaks out of the time piece module. At this moment, by placing a coil for detection in the vicinity of the time piece module, the rotation of the rotor 1 is detected with the current or voltage due to the counter electromotive force generating in the coil for detection because of the leaked magnetic flux during driving the rotor. From the difference of the detected waveform, the movement and termination of the timepiece module 11 are able to confirm with the sensor.
