PURPOSE: To save the labor for work managing affairs by enabling a person in charge to input working time data to be calculated previously or later unless the data can be recorded by the time recorder because of a business trip.

CONSTITUTION: A paid vacation/business trip selection key 20 and a visiting- place clock-in/clock-out selection key 21 are connected to the CPU 1 of the time recorder. An input mode is selected with the key 20 or 21 and then timer data on a date and prescribed working time or clock-in time, etc., can be inputted with data input keys 12. When a time card is inserted, a code reader 16 reads the discrimination code out of the time card and prints the declaration or the declaration and time are printed in corresponding fields unless the same data as the input data are already registered. The declaration and timer data are written in a clock-in/out data area of a memory 8. A control part calculates the working time according to the declaration and performs a totalizing arithmetic process.
