Abstract:

To provide a time recorder capable of saving energy by executing a power saving display on a display device when not used and canceling the power saving display automatically when the use is predicted.

This time recorder body is equipped with a setting means 20 for setting beforehand an energy saving time zone, a detection means 13 for detecting insertion of a time card 5, the display device 2 for displaying the time or the like, and a control means 10 for executing the power saving display on the display device 2 in the energy saving time zone, canceling the power saving display except in the energy saving time zone, and canceling the power saving display on the display device 2 for a prescribed time when the detection means 13 detects insertion of the time card 5 even in the energy saving time zone.
