The time recorder includes: a determination part 62 for extracting block data which regularly allocates at least one of the number and the letter to an IC tag from the recognition data read by an IC tag read part 12 and for determining whether continuous data connecting the extracted block data is within a processing permission range; and a processing part 63 for making the read recognition data attached with the data of a date, a time, and a function number to be stored in a RAM 33 when determined that the continuous data is in a range shown by the processing permission range data, and for discarding the read recognition data when the continuous data is not in the range shown by the processing permission range.
