To recycle a time card and also to automatically process recorded information by providing a means which prints prescribed information on an information display part of a card and eliminates printed information.

A printing means is mounted on an information display part of a rewritable card. The printing means consists of plural heater elements that are linearly aligned, what is called, line type thermal head 66. The heater elements of the head 66 are separately and independently controlled to be heated to a prescribed printing temperature. At the time of printing, an erasing means which erases display of an information display part of the rewritable card is provided along a card carrier path P between magnetic heads 48 and 50. An erasing plate 60 contains a heater that heats surface temperature to prescribed erasing temperature. At the time of erasing, a pressure plate 62 is moved to the side of the plate 60 and presses a rewritable card.
