A time recording terminal 3 comprises: a short range radio communication unit 31 which performs radio communication with a portable communication terminal existing within a predetermined distance; and a control unit 30 which acquires a user ID as information for identifying a user and time information indicating the current time (year, month, day, hour, minute, and second) from the portable communication terminal via the short range radio communication unit 31, and records the acquired time information in a time information storage unit 34. The time recording terminal 3 can dispense with an internal timer for keeping time by itself, and as the time recording terminal 3 records the information in a data form, the time recording terminal does not need a paper feeding mechanism, a printing mechanism, etc. Thus, it is possible to simplify structure of the time recording terminal 3, and suppress its manufacturing cost.
