To provide a safe time switch for a washing machine which does not generate short circuit due to tracking between exterior connection terminals.
A separated cam 38 is provided free in turning integrally with a main shaft 15, and at an original position where the separated cam 38 returns after setting time is finished, a following part 391 of a separated lever 39 rides on a high-stepped part of an outer periphery of the separated can 38 so that the separated lever turn. Switch levers 30, 31 are simultaneously pressed and moved by an operating part 392 of the separated lever to shun contact with an operating cam 26 as well as to have mobile contact point plates 27, 28 separated forcefully from a fixed contact point plate 29, so as to break circuits of contact points 271, 281, simultaneously. Terminals 112, 113 which might be a cause for tracking are securely separated.
