Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a timer device of a fuel injection pump, eliminate collision of a timer piston against a timer low pressure chamber side cover or a timer high pressure chamber side cover at the time of the extreme spark advance to the extreme delay angle at the time of actuation of the timer device.
SOLUTION: A means to limit a working range of a timer piston 21 by hydraulic pressure is provided on a timer device 28 installaed on a fuel injection pump for an internal combustion engine to force feed and inject fuel to a fuel injection valve by reciprocating motion of a plunger and furnished with a timer cylinder 20, a timer high pressure chamber 22 and a timer low pressure chamber 24 formed on both sides of the timer cylinder 20, the timer piston 21 inserted into the timer cylinder 20 free to slide and to regulate injection timing of fuel by moving in accordance with differential pressure of the timer high pressure chamber 22 and the low pressure chamber 24 and a hydraulic pressure control valve 27 to change at least pressure of one of the timer high pressure chamber 22 and the low pressure chamber 24.
