Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable timing highly accurately temperature-compensated by conducting temperature measurement and the like with a temperature measurement circuit at every generation of timing signal.

CONSTITUTION: Fundamental vibration of 32.768kHz is generated with a crystal oscillation circuit 160, an added crystal vibrator 161 and a capacitor 162. The signal obtained by frequency-dividing the fundamental vibration at a dividing step 170 is supplied to a timer 0171 generating timing signal τ0. CPU110 performs temperature measurement, calculation of temperature compensation value for the timing data, and addition processing to the integrated timing data accordingly to the program contained in a ROM120. The results are stored in a RAM 130 as data for high accuracy time piece. For measuring temperature, a thermister 184, a capacitor C185, a reference resistor 186, etc.,are used. By using the temperature measured with the temperature measurement circuit 1180 so constituted, the correction of temperature characteristic of the oscillation frequency of the crystal vibrator 161 is conducted.
