Title:
TIN DERIVATIVE ON ANOMERIC POSITION OF SACCHARIDE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2704862
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily obtain a new compound capable of directly giving through hydrolysis the corresponding saccharide derivative bearing OH group on the anomeric position such as an intermediate for synthesizing anticancer glucosides or an anticancer aminoglycoside, from any of various kinds of saccharide derivative.
SOLUTION: This new compound is shown by formula I (A forms a saccharide ring together with O and C; R is a lower alkyl), e.g. tri-n-butyltin-(2,3-di-O- acetyl-4,6-O-ethylidene)-O-glucopyranoside. This compound of' formula I is obtained by retrction of a compound of formula II such as 1,2,3tri-O-acetyl-4,6-O- ethylidene-β-Dglucopyranose with a tin compound of the formula R3SnOR' (e.g. tri-n-butyltin methoxide) in a volatile solvent (pref. THF) pref. at 50-80°C for 1-4 h.
