To solve the problems that: a conventional tine used in tending a vast turf has been made by cutting a long-hole-like opening midway of a pipe, therefore the width of the pipe is narrower than the diameter of the pipe; therefore a plug when dug the turf with the tip of the tine tends not to come off the opening, leading to causing cloggings.
The tine includes: a tapered (becoming narrower toward the tip) and hollow cylindrical tip-inserting part 11; a basal end grip 12 standing apart from the tip-inserting part 11; and a junction 13 connecting the tip-inserting part 11 and the basal end grip 12 with each other. In this tine, the junction 13 has an opening 15, which has an angle of circumference of 180° or larger around the central axis (a) of an imaginary hollow cylindrical part 17 with the maximum diameter part of the tip-inserting part 11 extended in the direction of the basal end grip 12.
