The tip grinding device is provided with a grinding wheel device 40 having a rotary grinding wheel 44, a holder body 50 holding the drill 1, and a movable support member 70 having a holding part 80 holding the holder body 50. The movable support member 70 is turnably supported on a fixed base 31 so that it is displaced with respect to a grinding wheel face 45 of the rotary grinding wheel 44 at an angle corresponding to the clearance angle of the tip face 11 of the drill 1. The holder body 50 is attached so that it can turn with respect to the holding part 80 and reciprocate with respect to the grinding wheel face 45. A cam mechanism for reciprocation is provided between the holding part 80 and the holder body 50, and a cam mechanism for turning the holder body 50 at the angle corresponding to the clearance angle of the tip face 11 of the drill 1 is provided between the fixed base 31 and the holder body 50.
