Title:
TIRE AIR PRESSURE ADJUSTING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3807140
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire air pressure adjusting device capable of properly and quickly adjusting the internal pressure of a tire depending on situations.
SOLUTION: An air circulation hole 70 is formed in the thick wall part of a wheel 10. One end 70a of the air circulation hole 70 communicates with the internal space of a tire 17. The other end 70b of the air circulation hole 70 is connected to a selector valve 81 via an air circulating part 89. Air circulating parts 43, 44 are formed in a hub bearing 13. The air circulating part 44 is connected to a source of compressed air via an air line 57. The selector valve 81 can select either an air supply mode or discharge mode. To increase the tire air pressure, the selector valve 81 selects the air supply mode and compressed air supplied from the source of compressed air is supplied into the tire via the air circulation hole 70 in the wheel 10. To reduce the tire air pressure, the selector valve 81 selects the discharge mode to release air in the tire into the atmosphere.
