Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire air pressure monitoring system capable of monitoring a tire air pressure during a vehicle-power-source-OFF period, while suppressing a dark current in a receiver.SOLUTION: Each sensor unit periodically transmits wireless signals (transmissions 1-4), at a specified intermittent period (at an approximately 90-second interval) when corresponding tires are not rotating. A monitoring device comprises a receiver repeating a continuous reception period (receivable) and a succeeding reception stop period (non-receivable) based on the intermittent period, during a vehicle power source OFF (IG OFF) period. An upper limit time period specifying the continuous reception time period is set to be equal to or longer than the intermittent period. The reception stop period is set to be sufficiently longer than the continuous reception period.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
