Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire air pressure monitoring system capable of monitoring a tire air pressure during a vehicle-power-source-OFF period, while suppressing a dark current in a receiver.SOLUTION: In response to an ignition-OFF (vehicle power OFF), while a corresponding tire is not rotating (stationary wheel), when an event indicated by a round number 1, in which an air pressure of the tire becomes a pressure value P1, occurs, each sensor unit continuously transmits a wireless signal including the pressure value P1 for a certain period of time (a few second). When the vehicle power is OFF, a receiver part of the monitoring device becomes in a stand-by mode, at an intermittent period (100 ms interval) equal to or less than the certain period of time. Thereby, a data part with timing corresponding to that of the stand-by mode coming at the 100 ms interval, is received by the receiver, among the wireless signals transmitted by the sensor unit continuously for the certain period of time when the event indicated by the round number 1, has occurred.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
