Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire air pressure monitoring system, eliminating cross talk problems even when the antenna transmitting an air pressure request signal is provided at the nearly central part closed to the right or left side face of a vehicle in a cross direction, and capable of monitoring the tire air pressure detected by the detection units provided to the front and rear tires.SOLUTION: An air pressure monitoring system comprises: a detection unit 2 provided to the tire 3 of a vehicle C, detecting the air pressure of the tire 3 in response to a request signal, and transmitting the response signal including the air pressure and an identifier of own unit; a first antenna provided to the nearly central part closed to the right or left side face in a cross direction; a second antenna provided to a place closed to the rear of the vehicle C; and a monitoring unit 1 performing a radio communication with the detection unit 2. The monitoring unit 1 specifies the air pressure of the back-and-forth and left-and-right tires 3 based on the identifier included in the request signal transmitted from the first antenna and that included in the request signal transmitted from the second antenna.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
