Abstract:
To provide a tire air pressure monitoring system that can accurately obtain information on pressure and temperatures of tires of an own vehicle, by improving a quality of communication by radio, even when vehicles mounted with tire air pressure monitoring systems get close to each other.SOLUTION: A tire air pressure monitory system comprises a transponder including air pressure sensors, mounted on each of a plurality of tires of a vehicle, which measure air pressure of the tires, and an on-vehicle instrument mounted on the vehicle. The transponder transmits by radio to the on-vehicle instrument an answer signal including information on air pressure of the tires at a predetermined transmission interval. The on-vehicle instrument, when determining that the answer signal transmitted from the transponder interferes with an answer signal transmitted from a transponder of another vehicle, transmits to the transponder a control signal to transmit the next answer signal at a set transmission interval shorter than the predetermined transmission interval.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
