PURPOSE: To provide a fitting method where the tire chain can be easily fitted to a tire, no breakage is expected in the fitting work, a part of the chain can be replaced or repaired, the universality is improved and the tire chain is preferable to be fitted.

CONSTITUTION: A plurality of chain bodies 4 divided along the rotational direction of a tire 2, a belt mechanism 5 which passes through a hole 11b provided in a disk part 11a of a wheel 11 to connect one end to the end side edge of the chain body 4, and to arrange the other end before the wheel 11, and a buckle mechanism 6 to connect the other end of the belt mechanism 5 to an outer plate 8 are provided. When this tire chain is fitted, the belt mechanism 5 is guided by a guide wire to pass this belt mechanism 5 through the hole 11b.
