The tire chain includes a traction part 9, and a holding means 11 connected to the traction part. When the tire chain is attached to a vehicle tire, the traction part is positioned on a tread 10 of the vehicle tire, and the holding means is positioned on a sidewall 8 of the vehicle tire in section unit. Further, the holding means extends circumferentially 14 in the vehicle tire in section unit. When the tire chain is attached to the vehicle tire for the object of attaining easy attachment of the tire chain and strong holding power with lowering a design height in the sidewall of the tire, the holding means includes at least two holding members 15 similar to a tracting means inside the cross section, and the holding members are disposed adjacent to a radial direction 16 of the vehicle tire, and are coated in common.
