To provide a tire changing device advantageous in removing a bead part from a rim flange without causing damage to a wheel.
On abutting sections 14, a side face 2E lying on one side in the width direction of a pneumatic tire 2 is abutted. When the pneumatic tire 2 is arranged between the abutting sections 14 and a pressing section 16 with the side face 2E on one side in the width direction of the tire 2 contacted with the abutting sections 14 and with a part near the rim flange of the other side face 2E opposed to pressing section 16, the pressing section 16 can contact with and separate from the part near the rim flange of the other side face 2E of the pneumatic tire 2. The pressing section 16 is composed of a body part 32 and a coating part 34. The body part 32 is connected with a moving part 18. The coating part 34 comprises urethane resin covering the whole area of the surface of the body part 32. The moving part 18 moves the pressing section 16 in directions for contacting with and separating from the abutting section 14.
