Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire attachment/detachment device capable of attaching a tire to a wheel in such a manner that, even in the case of a wheel including a hump, a bead part called a first bead or a primary side bead of the tire comes over the hump on the wheel and contacts with a rim.SOLUTION: A tire attachment/detachment device includes control means. The control means, while, with use of a main shaft, rotating chuck means 44 gripping a wheel 4 to which a tire 3 is fixed and retained, moves a push-in roller 24b to a predetermined first push-in position, and moves a bead roller 28a to a predetermined second push-in position toward the same side. After the tire 3 is pushed in the wheel 4, the control means, while moving the push-in roller 24b further toward the other side part than the first push-in position, moves the bead roller 28a further toward the other side part than the second push-in position. The control means rotates the chuck means 44 at least once with use of the main shaft so that the tire 3 is attached to the wheel 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 23A
