Abstract:

To provide a tire ground-contact tread observing device capable of observing envelope characteristics during traveling of an actual vehicle.

In the tire ground-contact tread observing device, a transparent plate 5 is placed in a travel road 3 for a tire 2 attached to a vehicle 1. The transparent plate 5 is provided with a tire jump-over protrusion 7 protruded from its surface 5a. Under the transparent plate 4, a lighting means 10 and an imaging means 11 are installed.
