Title:
TIRE HARD TO PUNCTURE (COMMONLY KNOWN AS SURVIVAL (SV) TIRE)
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2022080232
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
To produce a "SV tire" which is not a complete non-puncture tire, but increased in puncture resistance more than a single pneumatic tire, which has other elements set equal in level to a conventional pneumatic tire, and which can be provided to a user relatively inexpensively by a simple production method using easily available materials, while there is no non-puncture tire for a motor cycle as of November, 2020, since it is difficult to harmonize such factors needed to be taken into account especially for commercializing the motor cycle as puncture resistance, riding comfort, steering stability and manufacturing cost though tire puncture can be technically overcome.SOLUTION: The "SV tire" is produced by bonding a rubber belt formed with a size corresponding to the contact area of the tire to the shell inside of the tire, and improved in puncture resistance performance more than a conventional pneumatic tire through the increase of a thickness by the double-layer structure of the tire shell and the rubber belt and shortening of penetration time of needles by the double-layer structure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
