Abstract:
In a tire testing machine, a test tire (T) transported onto a belt conveyor (27) is entrusted to a lower rim (26B) by lowering the belt conveyor (27). In this state, an upper rim (26A) is lowered to the position of the lower rim (26B), whereby the upper and lower rims (26A, 26B) are fitted to the test tire (T), and then the test tire (T) is inflated. An inflation method for the tire testing machine comprises stopping the belt conveyor (27) at an intermediate position, without lowering the belt conveyor (27) to a descent limit, when entrusting the test tire (T) to the lower rim (26B) by lowering the belt conveyor (27); and inflating the test tire (T), with the weight of the test tire (T) being shouldered by the belt conveyor (27) as well.
